The Electoral College of the presidential election was completed after the newly elected members of the National Assembly took oath, after which the Election Commission will issue the schedule for the election of the new president.

In this regard, the spokesperson of the Election Commission says that the schedule and public notice of the election of the President of Pakistan will be issued on Friday (tomorrow), March 1.

According to the spokesperson of the Election Commission, a day will be fixed for the submission of nomination papers under the constitution and on March 2, the candidates for the presidency will be able to submit their nomination papers to the presiding officer by 12 noon.

According to the spokesperson, candidates can get nomination papers from Election Commission Secretariat Islamabad, apart from this, forms can also be obtained from Provincial Election Commissioners of Punjab, Sindh, KP and Balochistan.

According to the formula of federal government formation, the People's Party has nominated former President Asif Ali Zardari for the President, who has also been supported by the allied parties, while the PP has also formed a four-member committee for the presidential campaign. She will contact various parties to convince Zardari to vote.

It is clear that the 5-year constitutional term of the current President Dr. Arif Alvi was completed in September last year, but due to the absence of the Electoral College (National Assembly) at that time, he is still performing his duties.
