“We want to win ODI tournaments along with better performances in Tests.”

Young captain Najamul Hasan Shanto has said that we will try to win ODI tournaments along with better performance in Test cricket.

According to foreign media reports, the Bangladeshi captain said that I know that being the captain of all formats is challenging, but planning can also be done in this regard. I hope the future will be better.

The 25-year-old young captain Shanto said, “I don't think we have improved much in Test cricket but we are playing better than before and I want us to win those matches when we are playing at our home ground.” Abroad we must be able to compete.

He said that we are performing well in ODIs but as a team we are yet to win any major tournament. We want to play well in big tournaments to bring trophies for our country.

It should be noted that the Bangladesh Cricket Board has appointed the young batsman Najamul Hussain Shanto as the captain of all three formats.

Najamul Hussain Shanto has the experience of captaining Bangladesh on an interim basis in all three formats. Now the talented young batsman has been announced as the full-time captain of Bengal Tigers across all three formats.

The decision was taken by the Bangladesh Cricket Board during a board meeting held at the BCB headquarters at the Sher Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka on February 12.

Sports Minister and BCB President Najamul Hasan Papon said that we have had a long discussion regarding the captaincy. The board has decided to appoint Najamul Hasan Shanto as captain in all three formats for this year.
