Saudi Arabia has launched its bid to host the 2034 FIFA World Cup.

The Arab country is eager to host this major global event after 10 years. The bid submission deadline for the World Cup closed at the end of last year, while there is a strong possibility that Saudi Arabia will be successful in hosting the event.

Morocco, Portugal and Spain will jointly host the 2030 FIFA tournament, while the world governing body has indicated that the 2034 competition will be limited to bidders from Asian and Oceania confederations.

Earlier, Saudi Arabia's neighboring country Qatar has hosted the 2022 FIFA World Cup in its country, Saudi Arabia will be the second country in the Gulf region to host the showpiece event.

In this regard, the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAF) said that our talks are progressing positively.

Saudi Arabia has invested heavily in sports such as football, Formula One, boxing and golf over the past few years, leading critics to accuse the kingdom of 'sports washing'.

However, Saudi Arabia has rejected allegations of human rights abuses in its country and said it protects its national security through its laws.

Saaf President Yasir Al Masihal said that it is very important to tell the world our football story. Our bid is an open invitation to the world to join us on this exciting journey.

It should be noted that after two years, the next FIFA World Cup will be held in 2026, USA, Mexico and Canada will jointly host this event.
