Sarfaraz's fortunes brightened immediately after his Test debut!

Indian young cricketer Sarfraz Khan, who made his debut in the third Test against England, had a star of luck.

Sarfaraz got off to a great start to his Test career, scoring half-centuries in both innings of his first international match against England in the Rajkot Test. In the first innings, the young batsman scored 62 and in the second innings, he managed to play an innings of 68 not out runs.

Earlier, the 26-year-old Sarfaraz, despite scoring runs in domestic cricket since 2019, has failed to make an impression in the IPL, but this time around, many franchises want him as part of their squad.

The Indian batsman was released by Delhi Capitals ahead of IPL 2024 as he scored just 53 runs in four matches. Delhi Capitals Director Sarv Ganguly declared Sarfraz as a five-day cricket player.

“I think he is a better Test player,” Ganguly said. T20 is a different format.

Sarfaraz had earlier made his IPL debut at the age of 17 for Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2015. At that time he had scored 111 runs at a strike rate of 156.33.

Sarfaraz was reportedly approached by three franchises ahead of IPL 2024. Mentor Gautam Gambhir has expressed interest in making Sarfaraz a part of KKR.

However, he may face tough competition from Chennai Super Kings while Royal Challengers Bangalore have also shown interest in buying Sarfraz.
