Order to remove Sheikh Rasheed's name from ECL


Rawalpindi: The Lahore High Court Rawalpindi bench ordered the removal of Awami Muslim League chief Sheikh Rasheed's name from the ECL in the 190 million pound case.

According to the details, in the Rawalpindi Bench of the Lahore High Court, a petition was heard against the inclusion of Awami Muslim League chief Sheikh Rasheed's name in the ECL in the 190 million pound case.

A bench consisting of Justice Sadaqat Ali Khan, Justice Mirzawaqas Rauf conducted the hearing, Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed appeared in the High Court Division Bench along with lawyer Sardar Abdul Razaq, while Additional Secretary Interior and NAB Prosecutor also appeared in the court.

The court inquired from the Additional Home Secretary, where is the Home Secretary? On which the Additional Home Secretary said that the Home Secretary is not available and is busy in the Supreme Court.

The court asked why Sheikh Rasheed's name has been included in the ECL. Additional Home Secretary said that NAB had recommended putting Sheikh Rasheed's name in ECL.

The NAB prosecutor told the court that Sheikh Rashid's name is in the investigation of the 190 million pound scam. So who put the name in ECL?

Lahore High Court Rawalpindi Division Bench expressed anger on the Additional Secretary Interior and said that they are giving 2 hours to submit a detailed report otherwise they will take action against you.

: The Lahore High Court Rawalpindi bench ordered the removal of Sheikh Rasheed's name from the ECL and also ordered the Home Secretary to submit a report regarding the inclusion of Sheikh Rasheed's name in the ECL.
