More rains and snowfall, new NDMA advisory issued


The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued an advisory regarding more rains in the country from March 10 to 12.

According to ARY News, NDMA has issued a new rain advisory across the country, which states that most parts of Balochistan are still under the influence of westerly winds, resulting in heavy rainfall from March 10 to 12. Rain is likely in the southern and northern parts of Balochistan.

Meanwhile, rain and wind are expected in Kech, Gwadar, Lasbela, Quetta, Kalat, Khuzdar, while there is a risk of urban flooding due to rains in Khuzdar, Kalat and Qila Abdullah, while there may be snowfall on the mountains.

According to NDMA, rain is expected in western and upper parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Kashmir. Landslides may occur in Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Murree, Guliyat, Kashmir, GB, Snowfall is likely in northern parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Shangla, Malam Jabba, Dir and Chitral.

Apart from this, there may be snowfall in some parts of Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Kashmir, while there is a possibility of flooding in Swat, Upper Dir, Kohistan, Chitral, Hunza, Quetta, Chagai, Kech.
