Mumbai, an Indian city known for its glamor and glitz, a horrifying story of fraud and murder in the city came to light in 2012, a story that has haunted the Indian public for over a decade. Enthralled.

Sheena Bora, a 25-year-old employee of Mumbai Metro One, disappeared without notice on April 24, 2012, and has remained untraceable for years despite repeated efforts.

After probing the case for years, the Mumbai police arrested Sheena's mother Indrani Mukherjee, a former media executive, and her second husband Peter Mukherjee along with her driver Shyamur Roy in August 2015 on charges of abduction and murder.

The arrest of the accused came after a months-long surveillance which was initiated following a tip-off following the revelations made by driver Shyamur Roy, who was arrested for possession of illegal weapons, after being interrogated.

How was Shina Bora killed?

Sheena Bora was allegedly strangled to death in a car by Indrani, her then driver Shyamur Rai and ex-husband Sanjeev Khanna in April 2012.

During interrogation, Khanna and Rai confessed to the crime, but Indrani vehemently denied the allegations and claimed that Sheena was alive and well, living in the US.

Shyam Rai's interrogation allegedly revealed details of Sheena's murder, implicating Indrani and her ex-husband Sanjeev Khanna.
