Haiti: 4,000 prisoners escape in an attack on a prison by armed groups

Armed groups attacked the main prison of Port-au-Prince, the capital of the Caribbean country of Haiti, during which there was chaos and 4 thousand prisoners managed to escape from the prison.

According to foreign media, the accused who escaped from prison include the members of the gang who were charged with the assassination of President Juvenile Moise in 2021.

The recent escalation of violence in Haiti's capital, Port-au-Prince, came as Prime Minister Ariel Henry traveled to Nairobi to discuss sending a Kenyan-led multinational security force to Haiti.
