'Gaza Bombing Survivors Starving'

Food shortages in Gaza have been described as a nutritional crisis and a wider humanitarian catastrophe.

The UNRWA says 90 percent of the population in Gaza is facing food shortages, with the starving Turks camping on the roads.

Children under the age of 2 are dying of hunger and disease, the agency said, while those who survive Israeli bombardment are dying of starvation.

The head of the World Health Organization (WHO) appealed for aid on the food shortage in Gaza. The WHO chief says that children who survived the bombing but cannot escape the famine should allow more aid to Gaza and a cease-fire.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health has confirmed the death of 18 more people from hunger in Gaza.
