BJP refused to give tickets to Sunny Deol, who made anti-Pakistan films

Sunny Deol, known for making anti-Pakistan films in Bollywood, failed to win the trust of the BJP despite his propaganda films.

The former Indian ambassador to the US, Taranjit Singh Sindhu, has been fielded by the Bharatiya Janata Party from Amritsar in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

The BJP on Saturday released the 8th list of candidates from 11 constituencies in Odisha, Punjab and West Bengal. Former Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh's wife Praneet Kaur, who was earlier in the Congress, has made a new entry in the BJP and got a ticket from Patiala.

Bollywood actor Sunny Deol, who was earlier elected Member of Parliament from Gurdaspur, was sidelined by the Bharatiya Janata Party and not issued a ticket.

Despite being a member of Parliament, Sunny Deol was absent in Parliament, now Dinesh Singh Babu has been fielded by BJP from this constituency.

In Odisha, the BJP has decided to contest the elections alone without the support of the BJD, with the party fielding six-time MP from Cuttack Bhartohari Mehtab. Mehtab recently left BJD and joined BJP.
