A young boy brutally tortured for stealing a watch worth Rs 100

In India, a young boy was allegedly stripped and tortured for stealing a watch worth Rs 100.

According to Indian media reports, a madrassa student in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar area of ​​Maharashtra state was brutally beaten by the teacher and fellow students for allegedly stealing a watch worth Rs 100 from a nearby shop.

The police have said that a case has been registered against the accused teacher after the complaint of the student's parents.

The student, hailing from Surat in Gujarat, had taken admission in Jamia Burhan Uloom Madrasa in Sammbhaji Nagar.

The disturbing incident came to light when the minor student allegedly stole an automatic watch worth Rs 100 from a nearby shop. The theft was caught on CCTV cameras installed by the shop owner.

On learning of the theft, the owner of the shop informed the teacher of the madrasa, Maulana Syed Umar Ali.

On receiving a complaint, the young boy was tortured by Umar Ali. A video of the incident shows Ali and the student taking turns spitting and slapping the student on the back.

The video reached the student's parents, who reached Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar and filed a police complaint against Umar Ali.

According to the police, an FIR has been registered in this case under several sections of the IPC, in which provisions under Child Rights have been added.
