A woman was arrested after the body of a middle-aged man was found in the park


A woman has been arrested on suspicion of murdering a middle-aged man after his body was found in a park.

A man, believed to be in his 50s, was found dead early this morning in Queen Elizabeth Park, Newcastle-under-Lyme, UK. A woman has been detained for murder.

Officers have arrested a woman from Market Town, about two miles from the Stoke-on-Trent area, following the fatal attack.

The media report said that police have examined the scene on Silverdale Road, a residential road that runs away from the park and onto the main high street.

At 7:45 am, we received a call from Queen Elizabeth Park that a body had been found there, police said. The dead person present at the scene is around 50 years old.

A 30-year-old woman from Newcastle-under-Lyme has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody while officers remain at the scene.
